The council of the students in the southern parts of Carolina is named as a South Carolina Association of Students Council and is popularly known as the SCASC. The council conducted some very creative activities in this month.

The 60th Annual convention

The annual convention of the South Carolina Association of Students council for the 60th year was conducted in the Dutch Fork High School. Convention or the seminar was themed as the “Leadership: A Capitol Ideas”.

The activities were initiated on the evening of Friday 14th of March 2008. More than 400 delegated of the council were the participants of the convention. The delegates were initially addressed by the legendary General Peter Pace.

General; Peter pace is a retired ex-army man. He was the former Chairman of the committee of Joint Chiefs of staffs. He was also among one of the most successful principal military advisors of the Presidents. He was also the secretary of Defense and was also the secretary of the National Security Council.

He lectured the assembled students with the concepts of leadership. He then had a face to face session with the delegates where he answered all the question and queries put forward.

On the morning of Saturday, John Beede from Las Vegas shared his thoughts with the students regarding the concepts of setting goals in the personal life and also as a leader. The delegates also revised their concepts like team spirit, public speaking and communication, presentation and many more skills.

The delegates also paid a visit to the S.C state museum. And the Seawell State Fairgrounds.
